Oyo traditionalists protest discrimination, demand public holiday

Traditional Religion Worshippers’ Association made the call during a protest match at the Oyo State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, on Tuesday. They urged Governor Seyi Makinde to adhere to his electoral promises by promoting equity within the state without discrimination against any religious faith. They want August 20 of every year (Isese Day) to be approved as a public holiday in the state. The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters, Mr. Sunday Odukoya promised to pass their message to the governor. The call was made by the President-General, Isese Foundation and President, Oyo state Traditional Religions, Baale Olukanmi Egbelade.
